Here is my current combo, benched 215 pump,4kgsk, s475, plenum is getting milled off the head, head is oringed,435 injectors, aeromotive fuel system. I pulled the engine out for a rebuild. Piston choice and cam are still up in the air. Any suggestions would be appreciated! I probably was going get the bottom end balanced and pistons fly cut too.

My main question is on higher hp builds is there anything you guys wish you would have done with the engine out? I was thinking of freeze plug problems but personally have never experienced any of this. I will be driving this truck on the street, drag racing and hill climbs. I was thinking of keeping the 4kgsk unless I would benifit from the 5k.

Diesel Pro's for the cam....Fletcher will make your head spin with the amount of info he can rattle off the top of his head!!:hehe:

When its in the budget I will definately be calling him for a cam!

Don't worry about a 5K GSK unless your seld pulling...you can pull 4300-4500 with a 4K GSK. Upgrade to titanium keepers & retainers while its apart too!
 
I have the titanium keepers and retainers already. That is one of the main reasons I pulled the engine. I was going to put them in then one thing led to another LOL
