My donor engin just showed up for my p-pump 24v and it has a melted piston and a broken off head bolt. What is the safest way to remove these? I would highly prefer not to helicoil the bolt hole. Should i try to buzz onto the bolt with my stick welder, then soak the snot out of it with pb blaster and then try to spin it out? Its broke off at the start of the threads in the block. For the piston shout i try punching it out with a hammer and a long bar from the bottom side after soaking with pb blaster? All help appreciated. Thanks

Nevermind on the head bolt, was a chunk of aluminum. Fell through as soon as i hit it with pb blaster

Well, got er freed up. Hit er with pb blaster for 4 hours every 15 minutes and worked it back and forth on the back of the crank with 2 bolts in the flywheel mount and a pry bar. Patience and back and forth with the pry bar and pb blaster! Im happy! Full rotations now

Yes it is. Im glad it came about that way vs having to punch it out or something. Makes me feel a lot better about the condition of the block as well. Nicd not having to use excessive force
