I have a std cab sb 2wd frame and I'm dropping in my other 12v motor. Will cr motor mounts bolt up to the 1ev block or shou I use stock ones from a second gen? All help will be appreciated!!
Maybe jeff garmon can help since he has done this!!!

Thanx again

Is the 4 bolt pattern to mount the motor mounts the same across all blocks?

Early 12v only had 3 bolt engine mounts. The front two holes in the newer mounts are the rear two bolts in the older ones. If it is a storm block, the 12v can use the newer mounts.

Should be 4 different CR mounts to choose from, depending on auto or stick and 2 or 4WD.

Jeff is Def. the man to talk to on this....He gets several calls on this on a daily basis...Once he explains what all is involved and money, they usually change their mind...

Call him though...He won't mind giving some insite...

it cant be THAT expensive!!! if worst comes to worst, ill just build my own mounts but i was just seeing if theres an easier way than making my own. its going to be a 12v in a 2wd backed by an auto.

It IS if you want Jeff to do ALL the work!!! LOL

Good Luck man!!

well now that is true swole. if i was paying someone else, yeah i can see the big $$$ involved lol(especially if jeffs doin it). i do all my own work so that should cut the cost down ALOT!!!!! i try not to contract out as much as possible plus building these is what feeds my addiction!

Another question, hooking up the tach from a 3rd gen cluster to the 12v. should use a cr harmonic balancer with a cr tach sensor and keep a cr ecm to feed the signals to the dash or is there an easier way?
i was thinking of either using a gasser or diesel ecm and putting sensors from the matched ecm and installing them in the 12v to monitor the motor and i figure that should make all my needed guages work correctly.
