12v or ppumped 24v for my 96

So I have a 96 ctd with a good running 12 valve in it. I also have everything to convert it to a p pumped 24 valve, picked up all that super cheap. I'm looking to build a big power street truck. What are the pros and cons to both? Any body done the p pump conversion on a 24v? Any input is helpful
