150 Injectors/Edge-EZ or Quadzilla Adrenaline

Should I run 150 HP Injectors/Edge-EZ or just the Quadzilla Adrenaline?

I have a 2001 Auto with an Edge EZ, turnbuckle, 4" straight, modded air box and the idiot BD Low fuel pressure light. The previous owner told me he recently had the transmission rebuilt and had a HD torque converter installed but he didn't say which kind. I daily drive the truck in the city (for now) and tow maybe once a month if that. I just had the in-tank pump replaced with another because I wasn't aware I needed an aftermarket pump I will be replacing it for a better set up soon. With this in mind and looking down the road what would be my best option...

1. Quadzilla Adrenaline with Pulse V2 and fuel pressure kit...

- I would sell the Edge-EZ for like $250 or something.
- Have all the guages I need
- Adjustability
- Harshness of the Quads fueling
- Reliability issues
*** $400 (with sale of the EZ) ***

2. 150 HP injectors

- Keep the Edge-EZ for timing
- Add $400 - 500 for fuel pressure, pyro, boost, trans mechanical guages
- $300 - $450 + $$$ for installation of the injectors
*** $1000 ***

Ok.... So help me make a decision. What would you do? What about my transmission lasting (I really do baby this thing so hopefully that helps)?

don't forget the 500 for air dog or fass plus installation. for either route, imo those injectors wil be fine for stock turbo, until you run any kind of fueling box on it, then get ready for egt...

Alot of people like the edge juice with attitude. I know heath - roskoe115 liked the way his truck drove with that and edge 125 or 150 nozzles, at least from I remember.

Yes, that will come first of course.

I liked the older Edge Juice with Attitude because you could run a fuel pressure guage. But now with the CS/CTS crap they came out with you can't run a fuel pressure guage.

The ADR is sounding like the way I should go.

The one thing I don't like about the Adrenaline is the Boost guage reads off the map sensor... So it's not a true reading. What do you guys think about this?

I had a Edge Juice with Attitude on my 99 when I bought it...never really was happy with the way it towed. It really had no "get up and go" so I did a lot of searching on line and ending up purchasing a Quadzilla Adrenaline new in box from a guy either on here or Cummins Forum. I absolutely LOVE what my Quad did for my truck....it was night and day difference between the 2 boxes. However, I wouldn't pay the extra $$ for Quad's fuel pressure setup because mine quit working in just a little over a year.

I would also advise you look into at least a set of RV275 injectors to go along with the Quad as my stock ones are about wore out now. Here recently (after nearly 2 years of running Quad) I get a flutter out the exhaust when I hammer on the throttle on level's 4 or 5 (I set mine up to only be a 5 level box)..but my truck has 220,000+ miles so a new set of injectors is not a bad idea anyways. Just my $.02

Do you have an auto?

What do you guys think of my transmission life with the HD converter and not launching it off the line?

yes with 3.55 gears which is the worst possible towing combo without some sort of box to add bottom end.

I would try and find out as much detail about what was done the trans from the rebuild as possible. Even though it was recently rebuilt I would still recommend a "performance" valve body get with Lavon Miller on here and he can take care of you. With his VB and a decent single disc converter you should be ok for a decent amount of power 400-450HP.

I've got a set of SDX 150's, AD165 and a edge drag comp all new in the box if interested.
