16.5 wheels on a 08 or 09's

will 16.5 wheels fit on the 08 and 09 4x4's????

Probably wont clear the calipers.

Shave/grind the calipers, not much backspacing on the wheels and the use of wheel spacers and they may clear.


16.5 isn't a popular size though and not many tire options since the bead relies heavily on air pressure to keep it seated.


I wouldn't try it......but it may be possible.

I believe 17 is the smallest you can go...I know 16's won't fit

thanks i was asking for a friend of mine he has a set of 35 boggers but there on 16.5 wheels and he wants to put it on his ford i think his truck came stock with 18's

FWIW, not all aftermarket 17s clear the calipers either.
