I got a Hamilton 188/220 that I pulled after it was installed incorrectly and ate into the cam bearings in the block. All the bearings measure dead on at 2.125", and I talked to Zach yesterday and he said to put it in a lathe and if necessary, knock down any high spots (there are none) and then polish it and it should be good to go. I can text pictures but can't post them on here from my phone. I want 400 shipped. Text or call me at 360 702 8570.

How the hell do you install a cam incorrectly? Wrong bearings? OR.....

x2. I read about this on the other thread.
Also, tossing it on the lathe sounds easy, but what's the tolerance for the bearings. I would assume a couple thousands at most, so shaving it down and polishing that would almost certainly throw you outside of tolerance right?

Unless you bearing the whole block? Different sizes available I think. Sounds like a no oil situation got hot real hot! Cummins only has one bearing the rest are just the block. Unless this guy had bearings put into all journals?

It didn't get oil to the back of the block soon enough and started wearing there. This cam looks just like it did when it was brand new. I'd use it how it is but I'm too scared since I already ruined one block.

That's fair. I'd probably feel the same. Maybe post some pictures of the cam in the area where ti ate the block to give buyers confidence.

GLWS!

I can't figure out how to post pics from my phone but I can text them to anyone interested.

Also price to 350 shipped.
