Im planning on swapping a 6.7 cummins into my chevy, i have done some research but am still unsure, what do i do for the ecm and harness? can i have the factory dodge harness rewired to be standalone? also whats the cheapest way to run a 48re standalone? i have seen the pcs controller and the valve body but thats 3k, ide rather run the 48re than a standard trans but 3 grand is a bit steep just to run the thing. then another 6k to build it... any input on this swap would be helpful! thanks

I'm working on a similar swap. From what I've found, to run a 48re stand alone it'll cost you $3k. Or run a manual valvebody and toggle switches for overdrive and tcc lock up. As for the engine, I'm not sure. I'm swapping a 2003 5.9 and will be using the factory harness.

thanks, might just run a 47rh but i would rather run the 48re. well see how much money i wanna blow when the time comes. thanks again for your input.
