1990 12v non intercooled

i have a chance to 1990 250 with auto it is non intercooled can some on tell me the diff. between the intercooled and non intercooled motors beside the cooler.thanks anthony

the main difference is obviously the intercooler. the pistons are a larger bowl design, injectors have 9mm tips vs intercooled and 2nd gens have 7mm tips. some small differences on the injection pump and turbo

I think the head and radiator are diffrent and the compressor wheel on the turbo is a diffrent size.

so i can add i/c with no problems.ican get the truck for 2300.00 and it is clean

to add the inter cooler you need...
the complete turbo or the front compressor wheel and housing,
a different air intake/filter sice its a 4" and non intercooled is 3"
the inter cooler (obviously)
the intake manifold "horn"
the pipes and boots to connect the turbo to the intercooler
the pipes and bootes to connect the inter cooler the the intake hormn
BUT to mount the intercooler you will have to do some cutting and welding on the radiator core support and grill.

There might be more too, but im to tired to think.

Throwing an intercooler into it isn't that big of an ordeal just collect all the parts you need.
