1994 air conditioning condensate drain tube.

One of my wife's friends trucks is leaking onto the floor when she uses the air conditioner. I checked the tube and it has been broken off. Is it a fitting that will unscrew, or do i need to wire brush the id and glue an extension tube inside and then put a piece of hose on it.

It is not a removable fitting. It's part of the HVAC housing.

In my experience this actually works better than anything else. Gives it some kind of flexibility where as glue will crack from vibration.

i just dabbed some hose to the sucker.


5/8 hose and routed it down to the frame and tied it up.. it is possible to get a hose clamp on there, but believe me its not that much fun..

its on my to do list for my truck as well..... not a removable fitting as stated before..

also another idea, if its still leaking water into there, and you fixed the issue with the AC.. the third brake light somehow routes water down there too.. take some silicone to it and have at it if it dont solve your issue...
