1997 original untouched unmodified stock engine for immediate sale. this engine has been in storage for nearly 10 years after i had it removed from my truick. it has just under 100,000 miles on it and came out of a 2 door 2x4 short bed truck i bought. i allready owned a 99 24 valve 4x4 but when i saw this truck, the service records and knew the miles were 90% highway miles, i had to have it for a future super rebuild to race. IT WAS CLEAN AND NOT BEAT TO HELL LIKE SO MANY ENGINES OUT THERE. OF COURSE WITH NO MODIFICATIONS, IT IS HARD TO BEAT THE CUMMINS UP ANYWAY. MY secretary never insured the truck as i found this out after it was stolen then recovered the next day.
everything was gone. doors, hood, seats, everything. but the most two important things. the engine and trany. i had the engine proffessionally removed and fogged and thought it would be just months before i would look for a chassy. life happened and it happened hard for the next 7-8 years.
the rest of this story some of you may think is irellavent to the engine and the need to sell it, but it is not irrelavent. all of those years i found myself in and out of rehabs. this is not a easy thing to admitt but it is true. years ago you could not convince me i had a drinking and prescription drug problem. today i own it. the hardest part is the pain i have caused my kids. twin boys. awsome young men getting ready to graduate and move on to cpollege.
when i think back over the waisted time ad money and how i spent it on myself and not my family specially prepairing to send my kids off to school, it makes me sick. my kids have asked for nothing. they deserve everything. so four rehABS LATER, all volentary, i have very little to show for. there was a time when i wanted for nothing. that is gone. the only thing i want now is pesce, sobriety and to somehow make the finantail end of school my burden, not theres. i was able to buy them a car. a nice little car. i sold mine to do it. at 48, i am on a road bike. but it is what i need to do at this point. i am divorced of coarse as she could not go through my crisis with me. i say all this because even if you are not interested in the engine, which looks lioke it just came from the cummins factory, maybe some of you have some heart and are willing to help spread the word about the engine. it truly is a solid, just broke in enough engine that actually was owned and pampered by a trucking company executive. i spilled more coffee in it in a couple of weeks than he did over the four years he owned it. if i can b honest about my personel quest to b a good dad again, and share the fact that i have struggled with drinkin and painkillers for years, then when i say this engine is tite and one of a kind because it has been un touched and taken care of, i speak the truth. i am capable of personally delivering it or assisting with frieght. i have talked to a hand full of guys and have heard a thousand different asking prices. but considering it might as well be new and is a perfect foundation for a wicked rebuild i am asking for respectable qotes. i can not afford to give it away, but i can not afford to just look at it collecting dust specially when i amHOPRFULLY FOR THE LAST TIME, REBUILD MY LIFE SO I CAN SUPPORT MY BOYS FOR COLLEGE IN ALL WAYS. THE SALE OF THE ENGINE WILL NOT SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS, BUT IT WILL KEEP A ROOF OVER MY HEAD, GROCERIES IN THE FRIDGE AND ENABLE ME TO MAKE A FEW PAYMENTS ON THE CAR I BOUGHT THEM(MY KIDS). AND ENABLE ME TOBETTER GET ON MY FEET AS A RECENT RELAPSE NEARLY KILLED ME BUT HURT MY FAMILYWHICH IS ALMOST WORSE. I CAN RIDE MY DAMN BIKE. I HAVE HAD TO DO IT BEFORE.
I NEED ALL OF YOUR HELP IN ADVICE AS FAR AS WHERE ELSE I CAN ADVERTISE . I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TALK WITH ANYONE INTERESTED. I WILL ACCEPT AND APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT, ADVISE, DO AND DONTS AND YES EVEN PRAYERS THAT I CAN FIGHT THIS DISEASE AND GIVE THOSE KIDS WHAT THEY SO MUCH DESEARVE
THANKS GUYS AND I WILL POST MY EMAIL ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBERS AND ANY INFO OFF THE ENGINE YOU MAY WANT. jcarron@bellsouth.net
I ALSO HAVE A REALLY NICE NITROUS KIT PLUS TANK STILL IN THE BOX.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND CONSIDERATION AND I HOPE THE MODERATOR LETS THIS SHORT BUT RELAVENT STORY STAND. IF I HAD SMETHING ELSE TO SELL, I WOULD. REALLY DONT WANT TO GIVE THE ENGINE UP BUT WOULD RATHER SEE SOMEONE HAVE FUN WITH IT THAN SELL IT LOCALLY TO DROP IN SOME DELIVERY TRUCK!
