1st Mod?

FUel pressure gage should be first. Then if you have fuel pressure issues look at a glacier diesel kit. GFS392. Look at some of the boxes they have a fuel pressure gage built in.

Whats the final HP goal Brandon?

Gauges of course and a fuel system intake exhaust, then you have options on tuners.

Do you have an HPFP?? If not I would just get a walbro pump and use it.

I am leaning towards twins, moreless most hosepower befor it becomes un-towable, Dan I dont have a HPFP so Walbro is that a good pump? Eventually I want the most HP for a tow rig I can do.

450HP is a good goal. Sure you can tow with more, but your gonna be pushing the limits of the drivelines. The trucks that tow day in and day out that have 250K on them, were probably not at 600HP.
Walbro is a great pump, plus they are cheap.

Ok so 392 I will go, that is the 1st mod I will be doing hands down will it support 450 or so I take it, and I will just hook it up inline I guess?

take the silencer ring out
pyro,boost, fp gauges
intake,exh and a programmer

brandon we made 427rwhp on the wifes 01 we have a fass 150/95 BHAF tst powermax 3 and the httss 62/13 its a 6 speed and our tow rig it does great everything else is stock

We did this setup on Chuck's 02...Walbro, 3/8" line and fleetguard filters, no stock stuff beyond the factory pickup...rock solid 15psi under load at 400hp.

Also...I have an AWESOME towing twins idea we can talk about;)

Fuel pump of your choice, full gauges, big pipe out the back (use the muffler, trust me :bang), either the AFE PG7 or a BHAF, DDP 100 horse injectors, 62 or 64 size turbo and a Drag Comp, should be a tiddly little 400+ HP tow rig.

24v

imo a fass or a airdog fuel sys is what i would run. either a juice w/attitude for the convience of box+gauges or gauges and the adrenaline. the air intake for about $40 more get the stageII afe sys.
