Who thinks this one would be fun to watch? And why dont we have any classes that allow nitrous other than open?

Eric

"Insurance won't allow it" is the common one I get. I think they're just scared sissies. :hehe:

Most guys running the 2.5 class don't want to use nitrous as they are most street trucks. It would also might as well call it 2.5 destructive class. Yeah it would be fun to watch but then you will get alot of guys that wouldn't pull becasue of the one guy that has a 200 shot of nitrous on his truck that puts 40feet on everybody.

Im talkin about having the regular 2.5 class, then having a nitrous 2.5, or 2.8 class for the guys running nitrous. 2.5 guys are as likely to run nitrous as the 2.8 guys though.

If the stands had protective glass in front of them I might go watch...too many idiots out there that think more is ALWAYS better

What he said

I bet a bunch of trucks run the gas but most will never admit it.

I don't know much about pulling, but don't they have some kind of inspections for that kind of stuff?

I think it would be fun, I have tried it at some redneck hooks ,but it didn't work so well. all I did was blaze the tires off. but if you would use a progressive controler I think it would be awesome.

This 6.0 in the vid was blamed for running the juice at certain pulls. Im not sure about this pull though. Ended up as points champ in that class, so I guess he never had it or he never got caught. Ive seen him pull were the smoke cleared up to almost nothing.

I dont know many 2.5 guys that would want to put blow proof bell housings etc, basically full blown SFI gear on their trucks.
Some 2.8 guys still cry about U-joint shields.

in that video i always wondered if he was running it because of the way it picked up the r's at the end of the track. good running truck tho.

F- U joint shields!:hehe:

someone was recently arguing that a high hp truck could break a u-joint and the parts wouldnt go more than 15'

i watched a stock, maybe chipped 6.0 this year break a front u-joint and the caps spun off the now spinning driveshaft 1 came out each side, went 20' hit the jersey wall barrier and went about another 30' straight up before landing back on the track.

that coulda been bad had the walls not been there

No, I think it's the 3.0 guys.

The 2.8 guys don't need a U-Joint Shield. ;)
