Are there any out there? Can they last compared to an s400 based charger?

I want to do some pulling next year but I can't lose the ability for my truck to hook to a trailer and farm. I know its hard to have your cake and eat it too but I wanna try.

Is there a s300 based 2.5 legal charger that I can run easily on the street and then not grenade it after just a few hooks?

Plans are to swap to 4.10 gears and a p pump.

I ran a SB for over and year and still have it on the truck with no issues. I'm pretty sure is s300 based.
 
I have an ED built S300 based turbo. It is a 64/71/14 non-gated T4 flange.

How's it holding up?

Another thought that crossed my mind is a big undertaking but possible I think.

S400 2.5 legal
Spool flange
Cam
Pump swap
A few other bells and whistles.


With some well practiced tuning between sled pulling and daily driving I feel like its a good option.
 
I am looking on to this myself. Trying to decide between 2.5 and work stock

Its not an easy build. Its 6 of one and half dozen of the other depending on the setup you go with.

Does anyone make a good work stock hx35? Can't say I've ever looked into them.

LOL. Please, I need some new competition. Tired of second and can't catch first this year.
 
Ha well as long as I can find someone to tow me around we are good. Engine will be done shortly just need the chassis and turbo. How far is Evan out there ??

Depends on the track and how their running us out. Sometimes im a couple feet behind, sometimes 10'.
 
97rada, I ran the S300 charger for a year and held up fine. I changed some things with my engine and upgraded to an S400.
 
I ran an s366/74/1.0 T3 at 700hp back in 2010 for a year without issues pulling the circuit.
 
I am afraid the s300 won't live. I have no problem running a 63mm s400 but not sure I like the idea of a 75mm cut down. Really wish they would limit the exducer and limit some power. They are where 2.6 was a few years back

Austin I also have a 2.5 true bore cover with bell pressed in and Weston's billet 6 blade wheel for an s400 I'll be selling. Has 2 runs on it.
