2 vibration/bucking problems

My 02 has developed a vibration that starts anywhere from 35 mph and continues up through 75ish (maybe at higher speeds too, but I don't generally drive faster than that). I noticed 2 cases - possibly unique...I don't know for sure:

Scenario 1: 4wd driving last night through the ice and freezing rain, the truck had a vibration/sort of bucking going on. I was doing about 38mph in 5th gear (6 spd), between 1400 and 1500 RPM in 4HI. Pushing the accelerator down, the vibration turned more into a buck. It felt as if the truck were fighting a stall similar to what would happen trying to accelerate in too high of a gear to start (i.e.,5th at 25mph). As the speed and RPM increased, the issue started to dissipate.

Scenario 2: Cruising from 45 mph and up (sometimes at 35 also) in 2wd. This feels more like a vibration than a buck as I described above. I can get the truck to do it in 5th or 6th gear, and I cannot associate it with engine load. This is typical of tire balance, but I feel this is more violent than an out-of-balance tire or tires. It feels more like a shake.

In both cases, the fueling electronics do not have to be on to get the truck to do it. The only codes I have are P0500 (VSS) and P1693. Fuel pressure is fine.

I have replaced a variety of parts already trying to solve the second issue, but I want to get some of your guys' input prior to me divulging what parts have not helped. I do not know if the first issue is related, but I thought I would mention it to see if anyone has chased this problem down before.

I have about the same issue with mine. I'm figuring mine has to do with the u-joints, drive shafts out of ballance, and all the wore out suspension parts in the front end. Probably needs a carrier bearing aswell. I just don't have the funds right now to do it all.

I replaced the ball joints already as they were all bad. When I was doing them, I replaced the wheel bearings as well as the universal joints in the front axle. I have a 3rd gen track bar in the front, so that is not an issue. Steering is not loose.

I found a binding universal in the rear driveshaft and replaced it when I did the carrier bearing - also done recently. Front driveshaft is good.

I have not had the driveshafts balanced, and I cannot find evidence of any weights missing. From what I was able to gather reading online, I should be able to "drive out" of the vibration if it is an out-of-balance driveshaft, as in it should go away as I drive faster. Is this true? I don't know for sure, but I heard and read it from a few different sources.

it all depends on where the vib is and what is causing it. Sometimes yes slower speeds or faster speeds can change things. What speed is it the worst in 2wd? A couple hose clamps and some yellow chaulk some jack stands or a lift with jack stands, you can find and fix pretty easily. Remember theres more than just the driveshaft in the equation.

The worst is around 62-65 mph in 2wd.

A month or so ago, I had the rear of the truck up on jack stands and tried to locate the source of the vibration. We were not really able to duplicate it even at 60-65 mph. There was a slight vibration, but it was nowhere near the magnitude of when I am driving on the interstate. I could not see anything that appeared to have excessive run-out, but that is assuming I could see it. Should I be able to see it? During this test, I did however notice what appeared to be a belt separating on one of the rear tires which prompted me to replace the tires. There was no change after replacing that tire.

What are you suggesting I try and do?
