a buddie of mine's dad is wanting to get some more power out of his goat. he has a stock straight pipe exhaust and a aem workhorse air intake. What do i need to get him to buy to get more power? I've told him a electric fuel system first. what brand? he wants bigger sticks. I told him an edge comp should do the treat for lack of power. please give me yalls advice and where to buy it. thanks,,,,

holley blue pump, or fass or airdog edge comp drag tune, dpp injectors, bigger turbo

How much more power?

There is a good chance a fuel system and Quad Adrenaline would be enough to make him happy.

will stock clutch hold up?
and where should i get this stuff?

Agreed with the Fuel pumps first, And a set of 150's should waken that rig up. Coaltrain makes really good injectors, And i'd say a smarty or the edge. I just think a smarty would waken it up more than the box. Especially just driving around but it makes the Throttle almost to hard to drive sometimes.

The stock clutch shuold handle the smarty for a long time depending on how he drives it. It only adds 60hp mby but fuels hard for great low end and driving around. The edge will kill the clutch alot faster.

Call Coaltrain its in my Sig. They got anything.

To me? No, I have been seeing to many folks having surge and other issues with the Quad box, enough so that I would not feel comfortable recommending it right now. They (Quad) are working away like crazy on it though so that will likely change. My favorite box for these trucks right now is an Edge/Juice since you get gauges and performance all in one, and a fuel pressure gauge is a MUST! on these trucks.

The stock clutch on a 5spd will hold up to a surprising amount of HP if driven correctly, but do not expect it to last if there are already some serious miles on it, just plan to upgrade to a Southbend CON O down the road ad be done with it.

Get the box in first, THEN start looking at sticks, for the $$ spent a set of RV275's and a good box are hard to beat for a fun to drive rig. Start getting much bigger than that and aftermarket air will be called for, start small, then step up.

Fuel system, absolute gotta have, relocate the stock pump to the frame by the tank or go with an Airdog or FASS, stay away from the Holleys, my luck as not been that good with them.
