2001 24v steering/ brakes

truck was running great i left and came back home ran inside grabbed some money came back out to leave backed up and went to go forward and my steering is out and brakes dont wana wrk power steering fluid is good and so is brake fluid... i press in the brake hold for afewsec and it shakes... wat could this be i fig the pump would mess up a lil with steering b4 just going out but it didnt just happend at once not likely but any ides let me know

I would try replacing the Mater Cylinder. I had this problem on my 02, and replaced it, now runs fine. Very easy fix.

Likely something with your hydroboost - hydroboost unit, power steering pump, or lines. Is your vacuum pump working properly?

Not likely. If he was just having brake problems, maybe, but since he is having steering problems, it is likely related to the P/S system or hydrobooster.

if you have no steering at all or brakes at all I would lean towards the ps pump and vacuum pump, but if you have brakes but can't steer or can steer but when you apply brakes you have no brakes then I'd lean towards the hydroboost---I could steer but had no brakes or I would have brakes but couldn't steer when my hydroboost went out....good luck -----chris
