2003 5.9 CR, mostly complete, has injectors, block plate, flywheel, AT oil cooler, fan support, A/C mount bracket, fuel rail, injector lines, upper and lower valve covers, etc.
NO computer or wiring!!!
HPIP and timing case were removed, then the engine re-assembled with the cam and rockers properly installed.
I have had it running for a short time on penetrating oil, no knocks, can't guarantee bore or injector condition, so it's a core or parts engine.
I do have a good timing case and a core HPIP that goes with it.
$1800/obo, or will part out.

2000 VP shortblock from a fire job, no front or rear accessories, includes oil pan, spins 360*, 53 BLOCK, has a good crank with the tone ring, not broken in the water jacket (yet), $600/obo, or will part.

PM, Reply or call 402-780-5127.

If I tear it apart and it's 100% good and will hold at standard, $600.
I'd prefer to sell it complete, or at least sell some of the rest of it first, though.

Still available!
Possibly going to Denver and Grand Junction Colorado this weekend, finances willing.

$1500 on the CR and I now have the timing case for it.
$400 on the VP shortblock.

Still here.
Make offers on parts you need, but be realistic.

Commonrail or VP/12 valve on the crank?
I have a FRESH ground .010-.010 5.9 Commonrail Crank or a standard and polish-able 12/24 crank.

Mark.

Hmmmm, we are looking for a standard CR crank. The machine shop won't use anything that turned down at all. Oh well, thanks anyway!

If by "block" you mean the block from the 2003 commonrail, then yes I do.
If you meant the 24 valve VP '53' block, I have it as well as a '55'(? 56?) block.

If David is dead set on a standard crank, I can and will part the 2003 engine listed above.

Mark, the machine shop says that the only thing that will work is a standard crank. No grinding for 1xxx hp. I talked with a guy yesterday, waiting to hear back from him. Don't want you to have to pull something apart just for us...

Dave, I can't sell the damned thing as it is, so I might as well part it out. :D
Hard to believe that it's still a mostly complete engine over 5 weeks out, actually.

Food for thought, but I believe than a 12/24 valve crank is only a timing gear and a balancer locator pin different.
There's a lot of nice ones out there.

The commonrail 5.9 prices and parts this way:

Head, no injectors or connector tubes, $350.

Block, no crank, girdle, cam or lifters, $300-$600 (Depends on condition).

Crankshaft, $350.

Exhaust manifold, $85, shipped.

Oil pan, with pick-up tube, very minor dings, $200 shipped.

Timing case with cover, $100 shipped.

I'm holding the injectors, fuel rail, lines and transfer tubes for a repair job.
They may be available at a later date.

Anything else, just ask and I'll price it.

Hey Mark. I'll have an answer for you this afternoon. Will you be coming anywhere near here in the near future? Even within driving distance? Although it'd be cool to have you visit the shop....

I wish I could whip up a trip in your direction.
I suppose I could throw a parts ad up on the C/L closest to you, that seems to work well to start a trip.

Mark.
