Selling a 2003 commonrail engine with 260K miles on it. Came out of a camper hauler truck. Engine is complete minus turbo $2300.00

Does it have the fractured cap connecting rods? H.O. motor?

To my knowledge all commonrail motors in stock form have fractured cap rods and this is not a HO motor.

Maybe I said that wrong then. I thought some of the early 03's had earlier style rods that were better.

I have had a few of the early production 2003s with the 12/24 valve style rod.
The early production ones have the CPL tag riveted to the APPS sensor and an emissions certification tag on the front of the cylinder head's intake shelf.
Another tip off is a 2002 casting date on the driver's side rear of the block.

I have 3 of the early ones sitting here with the "machined cap" rods.

Also, the earliest production 6 speed trucks still had the APPS assembly mounted to THE HEAD.
