2004 Dodge Cab swap

I got a friend with a 2004 Dodge Diesel with a bad cab/box with low miles and can get a excellent cab/box off a 04 Gasser and was wondering what would be needed for the swap and how difficult it would be.

I helped a friend put a 99 cab on his 96. All the holes were there, it just took a lot of time to get the dash and all the wiring swapped. I would assume it would be a similar scenario with two third gens - basically you have to strip the cabs down to the bare sheetmetal.

Salvage guy near me does it all the time. Everything will swap just takes time. Seen him use half ton cabs for wrecked deisel trucks.
