What is the difference between the 2005-2007 turbos vs the 2007.5-2008 turbos?

Had a local blow hisHE351CW and I thought I'd let him have my 2008 stock if it would fit?

Your he351 will not work. For one it is variable vane and second, it won't physically won't bolt to the manifold.

It has a different flange.

Stock flange on a 5.9L is T3, 6.7L is referred to as a WGMT flange.
