A little hard to follow.

Anyway. Connector tube o-rings, and leaky fuel lines. Check those two things first.

Also the overflow valve on return from pump... It sounds like its losing prime while sitting? this will cause it. Also keep cranking, tighten 3 lines 2,5,6 leave 1,3,4 a bit loose to get fuel out, if you dry a pump out it takes a while to get cranked.

well it drops all the way to 0 slowly every time, i was wondering about the overflow deal how do you test it ?

and no light on but i didnt have my scanner with me i will tomorrow. i would take it that the orings ur talking about are under the valve cover

You test the return fitting on the VP44 by plugging the small hole and trying to blow through it, or getting a pressure tester. I had that happen before. It''s not fun, but cheap to fix.

The O-rings are on the connecting tubes and you get to them by taking the fuel lines off. If you look at thoroughbred diesel's YouTube channel I know they have a video of a common rail injector replacement. you can see how they take out the connector tubes. It is basically the same just different lines and fittings to loosen before you can take them out.

just wondering, did you verify the integrity of the wire connections on the pasenger side. Such as the little wire that goes to the passenger side battery, if you have a crummy connection im pretty sure it will not start... also i believe no bus will come up in the odometer.
