My dad and i maintain a small school bus fleet. We have some cats and cummins. Cummins by far out perform the cats. We have some that are 2nd gen motors and never had any problems. Today one was on route and the driver turned a corner with a little incline and the bus started to pull down and just died. We had this happen about a year ago and had it towed to a cummins dealer. They found a broken wire to the pump. They wouldn't replace the pump because it was under warranty. today when it happened we pulled the air side of the turbo off and sprayed a little ether in and it started right and ran fine. It had a half of a tank of fuel in it dont know if lp is bad or not. Cant run a fass on a school bus. Any help would appreciated :thankyou2:

My first guess would be an air bubble in the supply line, the 24V is rather a (@&^$(*&@^$ to start with air in the system.

I hope it isn't cold where you are and your cummins don't have grid heaters on them. Ether spray and grid heaters don't mix. You might end up with a missing manifold!

Check you fuel seperator and drain it. Could be enough water in the bottom to get sucked up on certain inclines. I don't know how close your bus engines are to our trucks, but I though of that for one idea.
