Hello all, my buddy recently p pumped his 24 valve and had some other work done by a less than reputable builder well say. Pump that's on it is a 180 with full cuts and bigger holders, 5k springs, and no afc. Has a 63mm charger, fass 200, #110 valve springs, bigger injector lines, honed out 150 horse injectors, and a 196/215 cam (don't exactly recall those numbers but I know that's within a couple digits. We believe the timing is set at about 29°. This truck does NOT run like it should and no help from the builder. From a launch it takes off okay then falls to its face between 2 and 4 grand in every gear. The powerband is so on and off it's almost sporadic and hard to describe. It's not like a switch going off but you can feel it almost like when a stock pump would start defuelung. We know the manifold is cracked which steals about 15lbs of boost from the top end, and we think it has too much timing Although these issues are definitely not helping, we don't think they're the root of the issue, and are pointing fingers at the cam and or its installation. Any advice would be much appreciated cause I can't figure it out myself. Thank you.
