I Have An 01 24v Manual Trans 3500, The Truck Will Run Fine For A Bout 20 Min Or So Then It Starts To Run Arratic Ir Idle Up N Down By Its Self It Wont Eccelarate It Will Run Up To 3000 The Go Down Surge With Very Little Throttle Input.. Has Voltage Codes Hi N Low For Most Sensors.. When The Truck Starts To Act Up The Voltage Value At The Scanner Changes From 0-32v But The Meter On The Alt Stays At 14.5.. The Ops Gauge Goes Up And Down, And So Does The Temp Guage...

Remove the negative cable and check the battery voltage one battery at a time. You should see 12.5+ volts each.
If you stop then restart the engine when it's acting up, does it run ok after the restart?

I'd place my money on your ECM going south. The module on the block from Cummins, not the PCM on the firewall. Have someone scan it for you. That is what my '02 truck did recently. I bought a used ECM from Bob Wagner for a great price. You'll get more codes than you can write on your hand and your truck won't run for chit, exactly what you are describing. The temp gauge will peg out even if it is cold.

the truck still runs ****ty if it is started up imidetly after if it sits it runs ok for 5 min or so...

i have a snap on scanner n yes theres 8 codes or so all high and low voltage codes out of range.. temp gauge and oil press do watever they want

check the tps sensor. on mine there was a voltage sticker on the back of it. The voltage on the sticker should match the voltage of the wire with a voltage meter( do a search on what wire to tap i forget) if it doesn't, on the back of the tps sensor you can loosen the two screws and there should be room to twist it clock wise or counterclockwise wise to make the voltage match. This fixed my erratic acceleration and bogging to it face then up again. After a couple months went by it went completely bad and need to be replaced.
