250 Cummins Turbo Setup?

I have an old army tractor with a 250 (855ci non-turbo) cummins. What engine should a steal a turbo and manifold from? Do the 300, 350, and 400 cummins use the same manifold? Thanks in advance for any help. :thankyou2:

you should beable to use a monifold off a newer model. injectors are different between them tho

the manifold and ht3b will bolt up on the 250 off of the 400 cummins...

I also know that the cam is bigger in the 400. An for you oil return u can just cut it into the inpectiOn plate on the side.. R u planning on running an intercooler or just the straight to intake plenum

I don't think there is enough room for an intercooler.

How much boost is safe for a 250? I was told the 250s have a weak head gasket because they weren't built for boost. I would assume I could put a 350 or 400 gasket in if I blow it out?

I'm sure you can I'm not sure on boost numbers honestly... I don't think it's the gaskets them selfs but I think the 400 has bigger headbolts I'll look in a minute an let u know

Thanks. Never played with these big motors before. Don't know what mixes and matches yet.

The bolts are the same diameter they are just longer on the 400
