271 transfer case

my ? is does enyone know if the 271 in the ford trucks is the same as in the dodge 3rd gens and will they match up to the nv4500 trans out put?

i think the ford 271 transfer cases run a different splined input shaft but you can buy the correct input shaft for 180 bucks.

Also the ford uses a bolt on drive shaft flange so you will have to change the mainshaft in the x-case or your drive shaft.
