2nd Gen 24v block in 03 cr???

I've heard/read a lot but I still haven't seen nothing for sure. I have a 03 cr with a hole in the block and I have a 24v block out of a 00. Can it be made to work and if so what all will I have to do?

I think motor mount bolting will be an issue. You need to measure that. All the other bolting I can think of will be the same. You need to put both blocks next to each other and see if cooling passages and such will line up. With the 24V block you'll loose the piston cooling nozzles (J jets) and you may have to slightly modify the MLS head gasket to match the 24V block.

Different blocks with how the front cover mounts, and I think the trans adaptor plate mounts differently too.

Wont work.

I've found out it can be done but it's really not worth the trouble so I'm just going to try and find a cr block...
