2nd gen to 3rd gen intake

hey guys, i read about this somewhere but i forgot where, but i am going to give my stock intake horn off my 01 to a friend who has an 05 since mines already tapped and i have an aftermarket one, and its expost to be better than the stock CRs. I was thinkin i read that to swap them over you need longer bolts?

Yeah, CR has 4 short bolts, the rest have 2 short and 2 long.

so he would need to get 2 longer bolts from a 2nd gen?

I think the oil dipstick bolts in a different spot. I just put a custom made 3rd gen intake on mine.

Yes, and forget the oil dipstick, it still has a bolt on the fuel filter so it's not goin anywhere.
