I did several searches and looked all over tst's website, but I cant find the difference between the regular pm3 and the comp version. Anybody know?:what:

Bosshog read here-Regarding the PowerMax for 1998 1/2 - 2002 Dodge Cummins 24 valve engines:

The PMCE (Competition) adds 180 HP and 450 lb-ft Torque (on level 9) for the standard engine. The HO (High Output) engine (2001-2002) already has 245 HP and the PMCE (Competition) does not make as much of a difference and adds 80HP and 310 lb-ft of Torque.

The PM3 starts cutting back at 3000 RPM. The PMCE (Competition) starts cutting back at 4500 RPM.

I beg to differ with that part of the statement... I had the PM3 Comp and there is no way in hell it fuels to 4K, let alone 4500... Actually, I think it fuels to 3800, instead of 3500, much like the Drag upgrade on the Edge Comp.

BS the comp version fuels to 4500rpm. I ran both TST's and ran an edge comp and drag comp and the comp and tst fueled to 3200-3300 and the tst comp and drag comp fueled to around 3400-3500.

I'm not looking for too many more RPM as I havent done anything with the head except re-torque the bolts. Eventually I'd like to put springs in it so I can turn more, but not now, another clutch upgrade is first on the list...

Just upgrade your edge box. Fueling boxes don't make much power on HO trucks so don't buy a second one. The answer to your question is a tst comp fuels further into the rpms, adds more duration, and adds fuel at a lower level of boost when compared to the regular pm3.

Go with the TST comp. I ran the PM3 on my 01 when i was pulling it and it would defuel to the point of almost shuting the truck off at 3k, so i sent it back and had the comp tune installed and no more problems and i could turn 3800-3900 under load

i have an edge drag comp and im debating whether to go back to a tst comp. what are ya'll's opinions?

i will be stacking with a smarty. i liked to tst comp, its seemed to run better because i was able to use the smarty timing, as with the edge drag, i can only use the fueling levels on the smarty.
