3-4 shift flaring

After finally getting my tranny working I had my dad put it in fast learn mode with a tech 2, I have maybe 30 miles on it and it is still flaring from 3-4 and doing some werid stuff. I read that it will flare from 3-4 but for how long?.... Should I start worrying or is this normal?

sometimes it takes a couple hundred miles before the trans fully learns its shifts. Keep in mind that if you added a shift kit and changed clutches then tolerences are totally different and the trans is having to learn shift timing all over again.

yes, even in the fast mode it takes a minimum of 2hr for a relearn to complete, put some miles on it and go from there as he said!

Yes we did that right after putting the trans back in... but I got bigger problems now its limping between 3rd and 4th so im waiting on big dipper to call me back.. really wishing I woulda had him do it the first time.
