I'm building a pulling garden tractor.
I'm looking for an inline pump for a 3 cyl engine. I'm using a Kubota engine that has an integral pump (pump housing and pump cam are built into the engine block). In Europe they run slightly bigger tractors with 4 cyl 1.9L VW engines. I saw a video of one that had an inline pump hanging off the side of the engine and was driven by a cogged timing belt. I was thinking about doing something similar. Is there a pump out there that may suite my needs? Preferably a Bosch or something that is easy to get parts for. I have heard there is a 3cyl Duetz engine that used an inline pump. Anybody familiar with it? I don't know how big it should be, but I'm hoping to eventually make up to 100hp or more from 1100cc.

I wasn't sure if I should post here or in the tractor section.

I wondered if it would work to use a 6cyl pump and only use 3 elements.
I'll be a little cramped for room doing that though.

I believe the 3 cyl pump I mentioned on a Deutz is a Bosch A series pump.

I have a pump that came off of a Kubota 3 cyl diesel. Ii will look in the morning to find it. I'll post a picture of it.
