1. how much hp and tourque should i be putting out?

2.how does everyone regulate the boost on this setup without an external wastegate? doyou just use the stock wastegate on the 35?

3.now that the air volume is more efficient for the amount of boost how much can i run safely on a set of headbolts and a new gasket?

thanks

1. depending on setup, but mine is around 540hp, 1000 tq with 0 plate. Anything after 550 is hot and harder to get IMHO

2. stock gate

3. 45psi IMHO, maybe a little more

Hp and torque depend on alot of things more than turbos. Timing, injectors, headwork, delivery valves. You can get between 500 and 600 hp fairly easily.

I regulate my total boost with fuel, drive pressures with a boost elbow on the hx35 wastwegate which is drilled to 1" through the divider to wastegate all 6 cylinders.

If youre running aftermarket head bolts I would say 50psi is safe, I hit over 60 more than a few times on my stock gasket and it didnt blow. O-ringed now.

What fuel plate & injectors are most of you guys running with this setup? Also has anyone checked drive pressures with these setups?

5x .014 injectors and a 100 plate full forward, 4kgsk. Havnt measured drive pressure yet, but will before I change my top charger to a s360 to compare drive pressures.

If you are worried about blowning a head gasket you should put studs in it till blow that sucker, from what I have heard is that 50 psi is good for the stock bolt and above go with studs.

Timing, especially on a 12v, can play a big role in headgasket life.. Sometimes even more than total boost numbers.

Get headstuds. Soon. They are worth every penny, especially compared to pulling the head and o-ringing it.. I wish I had them before I nuked my headgasket. I was always careful to make sure that the engine was completely warm before hammering on it.. and I still lost mine. Bottom line: people get them for a reason, they are worth every penny.

What is everyone running for head studs on their 12/24v? Wouldn't ARPs be sufficient for a mild set of towing twins like the hx35/htb3?
