What does everyone suggest on a tire size if Im running a profab and things? Does it matter since I can change gears easily? What does everyone suggest.

What rears you using? If stock 60/80 are you upgrading the axles in them?
What gears in the rears?

Sorry bout that. Truck has 60 up front with 6.17 gears and a 2 1/2 ton Rockwell in the rear with 6.20's.

Sounds like you can run 35's no problem! That low of gearing, you can turn what ever you want, but i guess it comes down to what you like in terms of looks. I say 35's!

Well thats what Im wondering. Does my gearing matter since I have 14 sets of gears for the profab that can interchange. Seems like it is split between 35's and 33's for the better running trucks in the super street class. Rodd tarr runs 35's I believe as well as Kusileks dmax. Kevin Cole 33's as well as Bill Heyens Lethal injection I think. I think Ingram had 33's at the Scheid event on his truck. Black Crow ran 35's. Pretty even split so im unsure. I already have 33x12.50 STS. Curious if a 35 would be better or not.

Its all new to me right now. First year with the profab. There is a 1350 in it now. Something tells me that isnt the gear your speaking of though. Beings I have 13 others than can be changed out for that one.

Well if you go with a different set, consider those sts u have now sold!

Well if 35's are the way to be if it doesnt matter. Find me some 35's and I would trade you since thats what you need. Im cool with that.

35s with the same RPM and gear selection will net you faster wheel speed than a 33.

See thats what Im asking. Since I can just swap a taller gear in does it matter whether I run a 33 or 35? I understand the part if I had a tranny and transfer case. But does it matter with my set up?

But in all thought the 35" tire will no matter what net more MPH speed cause u are covering more ground due to the diameter being bigger :.........But 33" will net you more wheel speed but less ground covered. Think a 1" diameter tire spining as fast as a 20" diameter tire the 1" will be melting off and the 20" will be comfortable.

Anthony hit me your email address, I have a cheezy spread sheet I made you can put in your gear ratios and tire sizes, it will give you the drive ratios, MPH through the RPM range. Are you running a reverser, or a multispeed ?

Reverser. I have a spread sheet on them. Trying to see if one is actually better than the other. But my email is anthony@pureflowtechnologies.com

I dont know why it would be so different if you were running a 5spd and t-case verse your setup, i mean instead of changing tranny gears you are just changing drop box gears. To me i dont know why it would be so diffrent beside having differsnt ratios to choose from between both setups. But the whole tire thing versus taller gear thing makes you think a little bit.
