3rd Gen Rough Idle.

My bro-in-law called yesterday and said his '03 is idleing rough a lot now. He says it vibrates the drivers seat like it has a miss or something. He said it did it after the engine was warm but never said if it did it cold. I told him to change the fuel filter and call me back.

Anyone have any other ideas on what to check on an '03? He said it idled around 750 rpm.
 
tell him to check the oil and see if there is fuel in it? you can tell by the level and smell. 3rd gen injectors have small openings and one little piece of dirt hang hang one up and leak fuel or so i have heard, and having one bad injector not firing right will cause a rough idle and change in sound with it.
 
My '05 idles a tiny bit rough in park and only park, once you put it in drive it idles perfectly fine. Not sure why it does it.......might have to check out the oil for CHITS and grins.
 
Poor quality fuel...run another tank through if there's not fuel in the oil...

Milage is around 70K
No mods what so ever, bone stock
What the hell is an FCA? Guess that must be a 3rd gen thing. :D
