Well, the Carquest stock replacement I bought 3 years ago has finally given up the ghost, now I know you can use the 3rd gen units to replace the POS used on the 2cnd gen trucks, but is it a direct bolt on or do you have to modify anything?? Just ordered one today through the dealer and gonna try to get it on this weekend and was a wondering.

You should be happy with it.. I bought the DT Profab setup... But anything is better then that crap stock design.
