does someone make a diff lower tube so a 3rd gen s-300 will work on a 2nd gen?

is anything else needed?

(do they use a different supply fitting?)

what about the drain?

thanks

don

well source auto dont make that tube...

hard to believe i am the first person that has ever asked for one

lol

thats what they claim

*anyone on here have two 2nd gen intercooler tubes lying around?

two of the ones for the passenger side?

could just cut em up and make it work if so...

anyone?

thanks, don

Why not just swap a 2nd gen compressor cover on it?

what do you get for a race cover?

tony said you are putting one on his 62 and that it is not a slip fit model but a v-band

if it is a v-band what size v-band? and what do you use for a elbow on a 2nd gen?

thanks, don

It V-bands to the factory elbow. I will shoot you a pm on price.

i dont understand...

thought the whole deal with the 'race' cover was that it had a larger discharge?

and that somehow makes more power

which i also dont understand because BD uses a cover on their 64 wheels that actually necks down (smaller i.d. than the factory elbow) and they say that it flows the same as the larger one. supposed to help with surge or some crap? i say make everything big. at least as big as stock. but smokem said dont do it. why not? can you explain? cuz i am lost...

I had an Aurora 2000 on my truck off a 3rd gen about two to three years ago. I had access to a pipe bender and plenty of pipe. It took about an hour to an hour and a half to make it work due to figuring a bend, downsizing one end and flaring the other. Not to mention, I did start with a piece of pipe with flanges and a piece of that good blue intercooler tubing to make it work. It was a pretty sweet setup and could be easily done again. Don't know what people are charging for adapting them, but I'd make one if it wasn't less than $100. Just my $.02

The intercooler tube should be similar on a 2nd gen to my 1st gen. Its basically 2 90's. I made this tube tonight for my powerstroke intercooler install. I'm running the he351.

Wonder when my dad will notice his vice grips missing??

nice welds

did you try mockin it up with the discharge on the bottom so it would be a straighter shot?

would req reclocking the turbo

and i dont know if even then it would be low enough to go under your intake

Yah I was going to mount it on the bottom and re-weld the wastegate bracket on. But after looking at some pictures and visualizing it, this way works best for me, and less hassles with the wastegate. Oil filter is still easy to get too as well.

From what I remember going under the intake would cause more interference like you said. I suppose you could make a new intake but I just wanted less hassle.

I hate putting shiny things in the engine bay. Makes the rest of my engine bay look terrible haha.
