I bought all this stuff back in Sept and was going to put it on. I decided to o ring the head on my truck before I put them on. I found a burnt piston so now the whole thing is torn apart in my garage . Some other things have come up so I figured I would sell this stuff for now and go back to my old set up.

I am selling everything as a kit the S-480 with polished race cover and ceramic coated housing , a new HTT 24 valve manifold still in the box , and the piping kit to fit on a 3rd gen that uses an S-300 3RD gen type turbo on the top. This is a very nice and easy to install set up and should produce enough air for anywhere from 850 to 1000 hp on fuel depending on what turbo you put on top. If you are interested please pm me.

Here is a picture of the Twins Kit it will only work with the stock 24 valve manifold or the HTT manifold . Also a picture of the S480

Sorry to hear that Bruce. Wonder how long you've had the burnt piston? You've put that truck through hell though so, I guess it's not surprising.

I see too you were planning on sneaking back to the track with a lot more power ! Hmmm.... I bet you would have been in the 10's with that set up.

I hear Jim may have a new truck he's racing too. You QD guys are raising the bar. QD may end up being a 10 second class before long :-)

I actually think I have been running it that way for over a year. The truck started slowing down and I couldn't figure out what happend I tried everything injectors, ecm didn't think of pulling the head , till someone was showing me some CR head gaskets that were blowing between the cylinders and then healing back up. So I pulled it down and there it was. I have a few more tricks I am trying for this year too so we'll see how she runs.
I don't know if you heard but Jim's grandpa truck is no more. He was down in Texas with it last month and it caught on fire and burned up. So he is definitely going to be racing something different this year.

yeah, I heard about the sleeper, what a shame. Wonder what he'll come back with ?? I'm sure it will be fast !

I couldn't afford anything new yet so, I'll be running the same times I have.

Jim will be running Brad Morse's short box next year. So yes it will be fast!
 
oh great :bang Maybe we can rely on the fact the CR is a whole new monster to what Jim is used too and it won't be as fast LOL
 
Don't worry he will probably using the brake as much as the gas peddle Lol !

The piston isn't that big of deal it is just part of the game we play. I watch those Top fuel guys do it all the time Lol . I am just anxious to have the truck good and healthy again.
 
I still have all the parts will break it up if somebody wants something just PM me.
 
No it was the # 1 this time. I had burnt the #5 before and started to score the #6 the last time around. That is what prompted me to build the billet intake both ends of the head are really restricted.
