I'm sure this question has been beat to death, but I have tried to search and either the search isn't working, or my ability to do a correct search is lacking.

As asked above, the truck will eventually see a twin turbo kit and some other mods to get me to 650hp or so.

I only wanna do one exhaust, and once I get to 650 I will be done modding.

I have 5", and the down pipe can be a pain with an automatic. It may depend on how well the DP is bent though.
 
4" is fine for 650hp I have seen a truck making 800hp with a 4" exhaust, but most twins will run a 5" down pipe that you can reduce back to 4". I would say its just your preference I would probaly run 5".
 
it will be a MBRP exhaust, so far from what I have seen their bends are pretty good
