.40 over pistons

after doing some math... would this make a 5.9ltr truck into a 7.1 or is my math all screwd up.. im using the formula of our factory piston 4.019 bore and 4.72 stroke plus .40 over to get 434 and 7.1ltr..... does this sound right...also what the thought on going .40 over about the limit of the cylinder walls before losing strength.

that would be 0.040 over size.....= 4.059 bore and that would put you somewhere around 366 CID (just off the top of my head)

oh I was like no way. but i see what I did with the .040 over bore....thanks

just a rough rule of thumb, but you will pick up appx 1.5CI per .010 oversize. So you will be sitting at appx 365ci or apppx 5.98L
