do the guys running autos launch at 4000 rpms when sled pulling? or is it more building to a curtain psi then letting off the break?

it all depends on what your torque converter stll is at. We would all like to launch at 4000, but from talking with a bunch of different people 1800-2400 is what I have heard.

I could hit 3000 if I wanted it, but I don't usually leave about 2500.

Well, maybe, just usually it blows the tires off if I leave that hard!

leave at 2100 in 2nd ease on in to it till 3k then lock the converter and hammer down, then shift to 3rd at 3800-4k.

usually hold the break let it build boost then leave around 2000 for me but when u get a big charger if u get a loose converter you might be able to leave around 3000 like zstroken said. but ive not really heard anyone leave much higher then that. i build a little boost hit 2nd lock up the converter sometimes 3rd on a slick track

I leave around 2100-2200 about 15-20lbs of boost, I have no choice iv got a tight converter. Any more than that and the truck will leave anyway. I like it better than the loose converter I had before. I like to roll out a little rather than blow the tires off, just seems to work better for me.

WOW, I two foot it ass off the seat and it pulls throught the brakes at 2psi, 1400 rpms.

i wish i could leave w/ 15-20 psi. i leave w/ maybe 2, charger doesnt even get good and lit till i hit 3rd.

I leave around 2100-2200 with 10psi. Probably could hold it a little longer but I try to roll out a couple feet before the turbo lights.
