I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone on the boards so I spent a few hours on the phone finding the answer. This is what I got.

You can actually turn over 4000RPM with this stack and some people might not be able to make 4K because of differences in vehicle set up.

I am able to repeatedly hit 3500RPM while still fueling. Here is the settings I am using.

Smarty Catcher - DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS!!!! Just load the catcher and do not adjust any options.

Adrenaline- I am running the Comp3 Beta tune.

After I had this set I started my Adrenaline out on setting 1 and began running second gear out. I was already passing the factory rev limiter at that setting. I worked my way up to setting 7 on the adrenaline and the truck fuels hard all the way to 35k.

Try these settings and this tune and increase the power level on the Adrenaline progressively. It does work, no bullpoo.

I just wish I knew what I was missing to get the 4k. Anyone have any ideas?

Give me your email. I have a tune you can try. Stack the tune with Smarty sw4, set mph to 200, all other settings default.

Um here try this.

1. Sell Adrenaline
2. Sell Smarty
3.Buy Redline

DONE!!!

Thanks for the tune, I will check it shortly.

I am running 250ddp injectors and a 66/16 turbo, will the tune accomodate?

Not sure. Only a few guys can pull big revs with it. I get 4300 on the street. It won't launch for sled pulling though.

3 ways to get 4k on a 24v

1- Redline
2- Bluechip box (pretty sure they have a 4k tune)
3- P-Pump

You know you want #3 Jamie:D

If I fall behind pulling this year, thats my next step.:hehe: I have faith in Quad. He knows how to get power, just needs to quit trying to do it without getting codes. Atleast he is trying.

Who gives a poo about throwing a code. I want to bring the pain on the pulling track. I can load a non-code throwing tune in for the street, i can live with a code for competitions.

I agree 100%, but It would be cool if it didn't throw codes at all. My Redline is kinda annoying with the codes & CEL every time I turn it on. I just want a box that doesn't go into timeout every time I rev out over 4k.

Mine too. Its when I go over 4100-4200 that Timeout happens

From my experience the timeout happens when the Redline loses an accurate rpm signal from the pump. This will very with the pump. On my truck when I had a lopey HR pump it would happen when I first put it in gear. On others it's at high RPM when the pumps electronics start to send a varying rpm signal. I have never had the problem at high rpm, once the rpm hits whatever I have the redline set at, it smoothly defuels. Of course I don't free rev my truck either.

Oh, and remember that the Redline get rpm from the pump and not the ECM like most boxes do.

Chip said that I need to tighten the screw another turn on my stealth cover to get better signal. I did that & nothing changed. I may try one more turn, but I'm afraid of breaking something.

Yeah, becareful. Solder it and forget it. I'm not a big fan of the stealth covers. Besides I suspect your warranty is over! :hehe:

74,000 miles on my pump now I believe....its definately out of warranty.:hehe: Why don't you care for the stealth covers? You think that may be causing my signal issues?

Have you taken the cover off lately and looked at the contact?

There are a lot of things that can effect the signal, not just at the pump wire connection. Did you notice the choke that is on the pump wire from the red line box? I don't know what you have on your truck but things like CB radios, stereo amps, inverters, etc. can cause a lot of RFI. A bad (or weak) diode in the alternator can cause problems (this happened to me once, with a problem on a drag comp).

Does your rpm recall on the red line ever read a really strange number? One that you know you couldn't have been at?

Paul

Well we put a smarty on a 01 HO installed some big sticks and a turbo I run.. So on Sw4 we hit 3800 and held there and boost was 52lbs I was surprised on that part myself .. I had to leave they are hooking up a ADR but its been so long I have no tunes for it I think they have a 2000 tune it but were heading out tomorrow for a big pull so no time for new tunes , I told him to set the ADR on 5 , Im pretty sure it will surpass 4k and hold it there

I somehow missed your post. I haven't looked at the contact since I installed the pump & cover in 2005. Maybe I should start there. Only thing I have in the cab is a Sirius satellite radio & controllers for snowplow/salt spreader box. Another thing that I've been thinking about is that my Adrenaline plugs into the map sensor first, then the redline plugs into it.
