Can someone please explain to me why a transmission can be completely screwed up, yet no codes be thrown?

Dealership will not drop the pan or do any further diagnostics since no codes were thrown and the tranny line pressures were fine...unless I want to pay for it.

I've heard that in the past. Did they take it for a road test? If they did and they know that there is an issue. Call 1-800-392-3673 (If its still under Warranty) I have used it on a few complaints like my misdiagnosed Tranny issue. They paid me a months truck payment for the troubles I had.

Ya they did take it for a road test, and they know there is an issue all right. They sent it down to a "transmission specialist" who was unable to reproduce the symptoms. Told me "It'd be better off to have a blown transmission" since they would be able to diagnose that - and said to wait until it was more noticeable so it could be easier reproduced. So pretty much I'm left driving around in my truck unprogrammed(back to stock AKA a band aid on a bullet hole) with crap shifting.

What was wrong with yours...did they fix it after they misdiagnosed it...do they contact your dealership directly? Thanks

Damn ,that doesn't sound like they have an in-house tech.

What happened with mine (keep in mind it was misdiagnosed) was, I blew the turbo (veins stuck open) and the local ford dealership replaced it. I went to pick it up and I drove off, and about 5 miles down the road, it had a nasty vibration in the cab around the center hump. I took it back to them, they identified the problem the transmission. But they refuesd to work on it cause it was lifted and they can't (so they say) put it on their lifts. So I called that number and they towed it to another ford dealership and they briefed them with the issues and referenced the tech for further details. During this time, I was back training in Maryland. SO they called me and said they put in a order for a new remanufactured tranny. Which I was alittle disturbed since this was warranty work, I would think I would get a brand new tranny. But anyways, 2 weeks later the tranny comes in and it takes them 4 days to put it in. So I make the trip back down to Virginia to get it and I took it down the road and it started in again. I was pissed by then. I go back and the Tech was embarrassed with the whole situation and the Manager came in and another tech went to take it for a spin. He came back and said my aftermarket exhaust was the issue the whole time. I couldn't f***ing believe it. So I left without the truck and a friend pickked it up for me. As I headed back to Maryland, my buddy calls me and said he loosened the whole exhaust up and then made a few adjustments and noticed pry marks. He said the other dealership got lazy and pryed back the downpipe instead of loosening it up underneath. I called that number right away and they asked for pics and I sent them. They emailed me back and showed where they paid for an extra month of my payments. (financed thru Ford Credit). I was impressed. And I later checked my Oasis Report and the drivetrain was noted and changed to a 60,000 mile warranty.

My 06 lost first gear, drove it for 2 weeks like that,I did not care. I towed a nissan pathfinder on a trailer for about 100 miles and it did not seem to bother it. I dropped the nissan and trailer off and headed home, by the time i got home all i had was fifth gear and no reverse. All that time and i got no lights at all, it didnt even flash the tow-haul light like i was told it should have.

Do what they asked you to. Put the tune back in and make sure it gets towed back to them. Just make sure you flash it back before it gets returned.

Whatever it takes.

I'm not one to say go rip off a dealer but dammit if they're trying to screw you then return the favor.

How is it completely screwed up? A little more info...

I didn't post back since I never saw your response to what the code changed to on the looney you loaded. You are FRT2 with the vxcf5h5. What does it change to on the other file?

Not sure...I only had it in for the hour or so I was taking the footage. I can go and get it right now...give me 10 minutes

With Erics from Innovative it is the same stock as programmed..

Both are: VXCF5H5 TQCK0T5

the strategy did change when I had DJs looney in though.

hey just let me drive it i'm real good tearing up tranny's even with a stock truck so one thats all ready on its last leg shouldnt be a problem. For real call ford tell them whats going on just flat out come apart about it.
