Well, I found out last weekend you don't need the TNT-R to run 4000 rpm's on a CR. It's easy, you just ground out the #7 pin on the tranny with a switch and a 10ohm resistor. There you have it folks, a 4500 rpm switch. :umno:

Actually, last weekend was a little bittersweet for me. I made the fastest run I have ever made, an 11.52 at 120.32mph. The second run was feeling faster till the truck shifted into second gear, BOOM $h!T, 4500 rpm's, and no forward gears. Turns out I broke the intermediate shaft just behind the forward planetary's. As bad as it sounds, I was lucky, It broke as cleanly as it could have and didn't take anything else out with it. The truck is back up and running now. I really have thank my good friend Brad Ponci, and Dave Goerend for everything they did for me, to get me back on the road. :thankyou2:

Oh Yeah, almost forgot something.....:cheer: Before anybody else can do it. HA HA.

I guess if you don't go into OD and hold it long enough, you would see 4500. The #7 wire just controls OD. The will lock out OD and the resistor just prevents it from throwing a code.

Good to hear it was a clean break and nothing else was damaged. Your truck sure doesn't look like it is that fast or make that kind of power. I was shocked at the lcd dyno day when you opened the hood. The sleeper look is spot on and great times by the way. I havn't had the pleasure of meeting Brad Ponci yet but heard he is a great guy and a master with these trucks. I hope to meet him at his event in august.

I thought it was lock up.......

I thought it was lock up.......

Damn I forget..... I think you're right and it's #6 that's OD. I just know I connected the wrong wire with my lock switch and it went straight to OD, threw a code and went limp.

Regardless..... if he is talking about lock up, that's not gonna help to run 4500 ????

:what:

Try reading the post again.. looks like it broke, and went to 4500 because it broke.

obviously. it's worded as though the switch is the reason it broke, which a lock up will do but it's sure not the way to get to 4K+ which is what he was claiming.

 Yeah, I snapped my intermediate shaft as the tranny shifted into second, locked. Think shifting into neutral at WOT kinda rpm's. There is nothing in the tranny that will give you any added rpm's, unless you break it. Just trying to be funny.

that one went right over my head I suppose :bang You're right though..... you want 4K+... free revs will get you there LOL

Can't wait to see a full RuN. I won't be able to make the next race due to my nieces. Baptism. I could leAve the keys to the truck anD trailer and you can take it dowN the track!

We'll I snapped my billit intermediate shaft about 3 weeks ago and it snapped clean also, guess I feel luck also, mine never left the start line....

If i were a betting man you snapped yours at the back by the selective spacer.
