46re worth?

I found a true built 46re out of a 96 ram, can not remember who built it, all shafts are billet,0 miles on rebuild with red alto clutches and bands, triple disc converter 2200 stall unsure of brand, unsure of VB and flex plate, I'm just trying to figure out what's its worth? Said to have 10k on everything but clutches and bands. He's asking$ 4500 firm what do you guys think this will be in my puller.
 
It came from out of a 96 Cummins unless he's not rite on what model trans it really is I no with the trans pansthats on it will only fit the 46re filter the rh? Re? Filter won't work sorry not up to par on dodge auto's and he said it was the factory trans and had $6700 in parts alone in it
 
In my opinion a used built 47RE isn't worth $4500. I have seen built 48RE go for less than $4000. If he is close to you and will stand behind it then it could be worth it.

I agree.. I'd say a good used built 47re is worth anywhere from 2500-3500 depending on who built it/parts/etc... Either way I would have it gone through including cutting the TC open and having everything freshened up before running it in a decently powerful truck. That's just my 2 cents
 
Ya its local and he just did clutches and bands and I'm trying to figure out the guy who built the trans and get more specs before I buy it and thanks for the info
