47re and 48re gurus. Let's talk bolt in sprags.

You don't hear much in the diesel forums about installing bolt in sprags in our beloved 47re and 48re trannys. It's a very common practice in the 727 world.

Why don't we hear much about doing this in the 47's and 48's?
 
Do you have sprag issues that can not currently be fixed with available parts?
 
No issues. Just want to hear opinions on why it is or isn't a good modification to do.
 
So you don't trash the case, sounds like a good reason to modify it to me.
 
I think Goerend has been bolting theirs in all their later builds. The drill with cnc and tap without removing it. So it stays tight, plus the bolts.
