47re leaks

I noticed today my 47re leaks a lil and it seems like it's coming from around the gasket on the pan I mean it's only a very lil doesn't leave a spot on ground or drip I was jus wondering if there's anywhere these things r prone to leak I mean it's not a bad leak at all but I prefer nothing leaks on my trucks jus for peace of mind and also what's the best ATF they make an what do u guys run I'n ur autos I'm running amsoil I'n it as of now

If youve pushed around on your dipstick then it could be coming from that, could be a front seal also.

As for trans fluid, i run dex/merc. A lot of people run it.....a lot of people run the atf syn. or a different syn fluid. It would be up to your trans builder or personal preference. From a stock stand point the synthetic (atf+4 also) will let the tranny slide into gear (smoother shift) a little more than the dex/merc seems to.
