47re lockup problems

hey guys i have a 97 12v and it has a 47re and it is a full built trams w all dave goerend parts converter valvebody shafts and i was driving it it was running great has about 70k on it so i launched it from a red light the other night and now it slides into lockup but once it locks it will not slip and when u start it it wont go into gear for about 20 seconds but it shifts fine going down the road untill lockup any input on this guys would be a great help before i pull it out thanks rick
 
I've seen this happen before and it happened after a launch also, causing very sluggish lockup and the problem turned out to be in the pump. One of the tubes inside the pump that delivers fluid from the pump gear to to the valve body had turned and partially blocked the lockup port causing the problem. Installed new pump and it fixed the problem.
