Did a 4wd boosted launch and instead of taking off like normal, it just revs to the limiter. Now the truck acts like it has a drag car torque converter in it...feels like it has 0 power and drives about 1k rpm higher in each gear than it usually does.
The pan had a little bit of friction material in it and what looked to be some tiny pieces of brass, but I've also got an auxilliary filter and havent cut it open yet. Fluid smells burnt, but is still somewhat red.

I "built" the transmission over a year ago and it's got some miles on it, have changed the fluid but not pulled the pan until now. Pulled the VB and at least the bands/drums look fine. The front and rear bands were looser than "spec" but not too bad.

Anyway, fwiw I'll try and list what I can remember putting in the trans. Got the TC and VB from dtt as well as their noise filter and voltage reg. Rest came mostly from PATC. Billet shafts, new servos and pistons, billet front drum/ with the larger piston, 6 pinion overdrive planet, 23 clutch od direct set, 7 clutch od brake set, and other small parts I'm forgetting.

Any help would certainly be appreciated. I hate messing with transmissions and need to get this truck working. The guys at DTT haven't bothered to call or email back at all so I'm somewhat lost.

As far as I remember, yes. I didn't drive it far or very fast afterwards. The tc sounds like a good start but dtt hasn't called or emailed back to give their thoughts.
Certainly hope it's just the converter...I'm tired of ****ing with this truck.

So does anyone else have any tips on contacting the guys at dtt, and has anyone dealt with having a tc repaired by them?
