Trans works when cold but does not shift right and a couple mins after running it stops pulling. Pump? Or converter?

I am going to say its toast. it prob because the clutch material is settled when it is cold and once it get moving it stirs up and plugs the filter. hence restricting flow.

otherwise forward clutches may be goners.

Check for stored codes first. How does the fluid look/smell?

When i drop the pan it looks ok not burnt and no clutch material in the bottom. I guess the best way is to replace with billet conv. New pump and total rebuild.
